This allows me to hold a balanced mix of equity and fixed-income positions that make sense for me. REAL ESTATE INVESTING Real Estate has quickly become the largest asset class in my overall investment portfolio due to its wealth-building characteristics. Every month, I receive cashflows from my properties, my tenants pay down the debt, and I'm able to appreciate the property through strategic renovations and raising the rents. Real estate will continue to be one of my main investment focuses in 2022. CASH & CRYPTO: With interest rates so low on cash holdings right now, it doesn't make much sense to hold more cash than you really need in your emergency fund. For me, that's a year's worth of expenses. When it comes to crypto, I've been dollar-cost averaging into bitcoin and ethereum, and will continue to do so in 2022 to hedge against inflation. With that said, crypto will only represent a small portion of my investment portfolio and is money I'm willing to see fluctuate greatly.
